Terms of Service
Effective October 23, 2026. By using notill.garden or placing an order, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English, but they're still a legal agreement, so please read them.
1. Who we are
notill.garden is a small business based in Maine, USA ("we," "us"). We make and sell custom soil blends and garden amendments.
2. Orders and quotes
Blend requests sent through this website aren't orders. We reply with a quote listing the items, price, and delivery details. A quote is an offer that's valid for the time stated on it, and your order is accepted once you pay it. We may decline any request, for example if we can't source an ingredient or can't legally ship to your area.
Descriptions, ingredients, and photos on this site describe our standard blends. Custom orders follow the details in your quote. Natural materials vary from batch to batch in color, texture, and moisture.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in U.S. dollars and are set in your quote, including shipping where it applies. You'll be told about any applicable sales tax before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. If we make an obvious mistake in a quote, we'll contact you to fix it before mixing your order, and we'll refund you if you'd rather not go ahead.
4. Cancellations, refunds, and shipping
Cancellations, refunds, returns, and shipping are covered by our Refunds, Shipping & Policies page, which is part of these terms.
5. Using our products
Our products are for gardening and growing plants only. They aren't food, feed, or medicine. Follow the use directions we give you, keep products away from children and pets, and wear gloves and a dust mask when handling dry materials. Plant results depend on weather, water, light, seed, and how products are used, so we don't guarantee any particular result or yield.
6. Warranty and liability
We promise that what we send matches your quote and arrives in good condition. If it doesn't, we'll replace or refund it under our policies. Apart from that, and to the extent the law allows, our products and this website are provided "as is," without other warranties. Our total liability for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost crops or lost profits. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
7. Website use
Please don't misuse this website, for example by sending spam through the request form, trying to break or overload the site, or copying our content to pass it off as your own. Text and images on this site belong to notill.garden unless noted otherwise.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, USA. If we have a disagreement, we'll try to resolve it informally first. If that doesn't work, it will be handled in the courts of Oxford County, Maine, unless the law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time and will change the date at the top when we do. The terms in effect when you pay a quote apply to that order.
